The Point Venture Property Owners Association is a Texas non-profit corporation that was formed in May of 1970 to benefit the property owners in the then newly developing subdivision of Point Venture located on the north shore of Lake Travis across from Lakeway, TX.  The member owners of the approximately 1,100 residential properties in Point Venture took over the Association from the developer in 1985 and have since been funding with their annual membership maintenance fees a constant stream of improvements including the complete rebuilding of the ten miles of roads in the subdivision.  The Association is overseen by a nine member Board of Directors elected by the membership at large and employs a General Manger, a Golf Pro, two office staff members and a maintenance staff of seven.  The Association also contracts with a Security service that provides patrol and observation in Point Venture.

The Association owns and maintains (1) a junior Olympic swimming pool; (2) a fifty acre water front park which has three boat launch ramps, a covered pavilion, a number of picnic tables, a playground area and a nature area; (3) six laykold tennis courts, 4 of which are lighted; (4) a 108 slip marina with an outdoor floating restaurant (The Pier on Lake Travis) attached which is open year round; (5) a nine hole golf course and (6) a well maintained office/recreational complex which includes (I) the offices of the Association and the Point Venture Townhouses Association, (II) a exercise room,  (III) a lending library which also serves as a small conference/meeting room, (IV) a meeting room that accommodates about 75 people and (V) a clubroom with cooking facilities for parties and receptions.

Point Venture was incorporated as a Class B municipality in August 2000.  (Please visit vopv.org). A Mayor and five council members govern the Village that has a population of well over 600.  Over fifty percent of the 1,100 residential properties are built out with 195 townhouses and approximately 600 homes as of January 2008.
